Andres Baez, P.Eng., RSP is a transportation consultant with 20+ years of experience in urban mobility, road safety, and multimodal planning across Canada and internationally in Latin America and the Caribbean. He’s known for blending engineering and planning with practical, implementable solutions—especially in complex urban environments.
A certified Road Safety Professional, Andres is passionate about Vision Zero and the Safe Systems approach. His work spans multimodal planning, neighbourhood mobility studies, traffic and parking impact assessments, T-GIS, transit planning, and functional design. He’s also a regular speaker at industry conferences such as Transportation Association of Canada (TAC), Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), WALK21, and Esri events.
Born and raised in Colombia, Andres proudly carries his Latino roots — especially when classic salsa is playing. He loves soccer, world travel, and anything that involves movement (on or off the road). In his spare time, he’s a dedicated soccer dad, coaching and cheering on his daughter as she works toward becoming the next Christine Sinclair .
