Senior Transportation Engineer

Nadine King is a senior transportation engineer with over 16 years of experience in the fields of traffic and transportation engineering. She has worked on projects across Western Canada for the public (municipalities and provinces) and private sectors. Nadine’s expertise includes traffic operations, signal timing, multi-modal network / corridor planning, and traffic management for construction. She brings a strong traffic background together with the concepts of complete streets and integration of all modes to her work. She also has excellent transportation modelling skills (with expertise in programs such as Synchro and VISUM), working on a regular basis with small to mid-size municipalities to assess short-term network improvements and long-term traffic challenges.
As experienced project manager, Nadine’s leadership serves her well whether working with internal team members or as part of a larger external team of consultants. Her leadership has also been recognized outside of work having won the APEGBC Community Service award in 2010, and completing the Leadership ITE program in 2015.
In her spare time, Nadine enjoys quilting and sewing. She is actively involved with ITE at the local and international levels and with APEGBC. She also volunteers with Crohns and Colitis Canada.
