Eye on the Sky
Staff at Watt’s Vancouver office arranged for members of the North Shore Municipal Transportation Committee to tour the Vancouver Harbour air traffic control tower over two days in November. Many do not realize there is a tower atop a downtown building (the highest air traffic control tower in the world) that controls scheduled float plane and helicopter flights, along with many sightseeing and training flights. This tour helped the North Shore transportation staff (engineers, planners and managers) better understand one of the many transportation activities underway in this busy harbour. Many thanks to Nav Canada for leading the tour!
